| | The
Coldstream Guards Association are proud to have the principle of 'Once a Coldstreamer
always a Coldstreamer'. The Association, whose Patron is General Sir Michael Rose,
KCB CBE DSO QGM DL, have their office at Regimental Headquarters in Wellington
Barracks. | | | | The
Coldstream Guards Association, which has branches all over the UK including one
in Canada, is able to help those members who have recently left the Regiment to
find a job or a new career. As well as this, they can recommend members who need
financial assistance to Regimental HQ, who then are able to access funds. In fact,
72 applicants were accepted for help in 2005 - 6, with over £45,000 being given
over to those worthwhile cases. | | | | The
Association organises regular meetings at each Branch as well as a number of social
events throughout the year, such as the popular Annual Dinner, and also encourages
members to take part in memorial parades. |
|
The
Coldstream Guards Association has thrown its weight behind The Coldstream Kids
Charity, and said: | | | The
newly formed charity of 'Coldstream Kids' is a very welcome addition to our service
charities. Formed by dedicated Coldstreamers in response to Regimental fatalities
in recent conflicts, it is aimed specifically at children in need, of all Coldstreamers.
We are a family and as with all families our responsibility is to all our children,
the next generation who will carry forward our heritage and traditions. | | | | Association
